The international tourist Una regatta, 45th in a row, starts this Wednesday, and all preparations are over and the participants expect great fun and unforgettable adventures through participation in the biggest tourist brand in the Bosanska Krajina, it was emphasized at today’s press conference organized by the event’s organizers.
The international tourist Una regatta is a top-notch event that is recognized in the region and beyond, and it guarantees great entertainment full of adrenaline. Apart from the adventurous form of tourism, the regatta also offers a number of accompanying cultural and entertainment contents. For the last four years, Una National Park is the organizer of the event that will be held this year from 26 to 29 July.
“We want to maintain the tradition of the regatta which has the longest duration in this region, more precisely since 1964. This year, at the 45th Una regatta, we expect between 400 and 700 participants, depending on the stage. We hope that weather will serve us and that through rich cultural and entertainment program and contents we will offer the best to all participants and guests”,said Amarildo Mulić, director of the National Park Una.
According to the plans of the organizers, a camp with participants will be formed in Martin Brod on July 26th, and in the evening there will be a formal opening, with a cultural and entertainment program where guests will entertain local performers. On July 27, the start of the regatta from Martin Brod to Štrbački buk, with a break in Kulen Vakuf. That night, participants of the regatta will spend the night in the camp at Štrbački buk, where a cultural and entertainment program will be organized for all participants and visitors.
The most attractive part of the stage is on July 28 from Štrbački buk to Bihać, with a break in the town of Račić near Bihać. All participants of the race, according to plans, between 18 and 19 hours should sail to Bihać, and to the City bridge where they will be welcomed by citizens of Bihać and all visitors. At that location will be organized traditional jumps from the City Bridge, as well as jumps from the airbag, which is the attraction that was held for the first time last year in this region.
On Saturday, July 29, the stage moves from Bihać to Bosanska Krupa, with a break within the tourist and recreational center of Hotel Sedra in Cazin. In the late afternoon, participants should sail to Bosanska Krupa, where the program will also be held within the Una regatta finals. There will be selected the best and bravest crew, the youngest and oldest participant, Una sirena, her escorts, male Neptune, and many prizes will be awarded.
