In January and February, more than 111.000 tourists visited Bosnia and Herzegovina

In the period January-February 2017 in Bosnia and Herzegovina has registered 111,360 visits of tourists, which is more by 9.4 percent and 246,297 overnight stays, which is more by 10.4 percent compared to the same period in 2016.

Number of overnight stays of domestic tourists increased by 2.2, while the number of foreign tourists rose by 15.5 percent compared to the same period in 2016.

In the number of overnights of domestic tourists participation was 36 per cent while 64 per cent was the share of foreign tourists.In the structure of foreign tourist nights were realized by tourists from Croatian (29.7 percent), Serbia (17.9), Slovenia (6.6), Turkey (5.9), Montenegro (3.8) and Germany (3.2 percent), which is 67.1 percent. Tourists from other countries realized 32.9 percent overnight, the data of the Agency for Statistics.

In length of stay of foreign tourists in BiH, in the first place by tourists from South Africa with an average stay of 4.5 nights to Malta from 3.9 nights from Qatar with 3.7 nights and from New Zealand and Bahrain with the 3.5 night.

According to the type of object the highest number of overnight stays was in the framework of the activities of hotels and similar accommodation with a share of 93.8 percent.
